There are no reviews of ChatExport yet. Not a short list of them. None.

Why there are none

The app is in beta and the download has been public since the start of August. The people who have run it are a small group of early users and testers, and none of them has been asked for a review yet. That is not enough people to have opinions worth publishing, and until it is, this page stays empty rather than filling up with something written to look like a review.

What will happen

The first reviews will come from those users, once they have finished real exports and I have asked them. They will appear here in the reviewer’s own words. If someone says the app was slow, or that the PDF was not what they expected, that goes up as well. Reviews on this page will never be bought, never written in-house, and never held back for being unflattering. If that ever changes, this paragraph is the first thing that has to change with it.

What you can check instead

You are probably here to work out whether this is a real product, and other people’s words are the usual shortcut. There are none yet, so here is everything you can check for yourself without asking me anything.

• Sample exports: real documents the app produced, opened in your own reader. No email address required.
• The FAQ: what the app does, and what it does not do yet, including macOS.
• Security: what happens to your messages and to your backup password.
• Privacy: every script this website loads, named.
• About: who wrote this, and why.

If you are using the beta

I would like to publish what you thought of it, good or otherwise. Write to support@getchatexport.com and tell me what you exported and what did not work. I will ask before publishing anything, and you can be credited by first name only.
