What ChatExport costs
What you can download today is a free trial. No card to enter, no account, and nothing counting down. It is the whole program rather than a cut-down one: every format, photos, attachments, encrypted backups and the SHA256 hash all work exactly as they will after you buy.
One of those formats is RSMF (Relativity Short Message Format): the conversation lands in an eDiscovery platform as records with participants, timestamps and attachments, rather than as a PDF somebody has to re-key.
Two things, and only these two, are held back until you do.
- Every page of an exported document carries a watermark.
- An export stops at the 50 most recent messages in a conversation.
Note what is not on that list: no expiry date. A trial that dies after fourteen days is no use to someone whose hearing is in six weeks, and this one does not do that. Install it, try it on the conversation you actually care about, and decide in your own time.
What the licence costs
34.99 USD, once. There will never be a subscription. You pay once, and the copy you have keeps working.
That is the whole figure. Any VAT or sales tax your country charges is already inside it, so the amount above is the amount that leaves your account.
It is in dollars because this page is read in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada, which do not share a currency. The payment page charges in yours and does the conversion, so the figure it shows you will not be this one.
You can buy it now. The payment window opens on this page, and the key arrives by e-mail straight after. Open ChatExport, paste it in, and the watermark and the 50-message limit are gone. The trial stays exactly where it is: nothing above this line stops working if you would rather keep testing first.

30 days, money back
When there is something to buy, it comes with 30 days to change your mind. Write to support@getchatexport.com and say you want the money back. There is no form to fill in, no questions to answer and no reason to give. Whatever you already exported stays on your machine and is yours to keep.
What the licence is not
Software that is bought once can still behave like software that is rented. This one does not, and here is the specific list.
- No activation call. Nothing is registered against your device when you install it or when you move to a new computer.
- No online licence check. The program does not contact a server while you work, because it does not contact a server at all.
- No expiry. A licence that stops working after a year is a subscription with a different name on it.
- A machine that has never been online behaves identically to one that has.
That last one is checkable rather than promised: disconnect the computer from the internet and export a conversation. Nothing about the process changes. The security page goes through the rest of it.
Why one-off rather than a subscription
This is about the shape of the offer, not about what anyone else charges. A subscription bills again next year whether or not you exported another conversation. A one-time licence does not.
Most people arrive here for one specific job: a case that needs a document, a phone being replaced, an archive made before an old device is wiped. That job finishes. Software bought for it should stop costing money when it does.
